– Broncos cornerback Dre Bly wasn’t at practice because he came down with the flu. The Broncos sent him home and hope he feels better on Saturday. Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said he was hopeful Bly would play on Sunday.

– Cornerback Champ Bailey (groin) practiced again and has made strides, but Shanahan said his status for Sunday’s game is still a game-time decision.

– Running back Selvin Young (groin) is listed as doubtful on the injury report, meaning he is unlikely to play Sunday.

– Linebacker Nate Webster, who has a knee injury, did some light drills on Friday, although he has been ruled out this week. Linebacker D.J. Williams, who also has a knee injury, hasn’t returned to do any drills yet.

– Broncos linebacker and fullback Spencer Larsen, who started both ways against Atlanta on Sunday, was awarded the Diet Pepsi NFL rookie of the week award.
