NBC announced that Sunday night’s game between the Broncos and Bears scored the highest rating for any of the network’s preseason games in five years. The game drew a 7.3 overnight rating and 12 share. The last preseason game to draw those type of numbers for the network was a Titans-Cowboys game in 2004. NBC’s broadcast more than doubled the ratings of any other show in its time slot, beating second-place CBS 7.3 to 3.4. Denver was the top market in the nation, getting a 25.9 rating and 45 share.
