Cornerback Champ Bailey (ankle), safety Brian Dawkins (hand), linebacker Spencer Larsen (shoulder) and defensive lineman Le Kevin Smith (knee) did not participate in today’s practice, according to the injury report.
Bailey played the entire game Sunday and was in the locker room during today’s access period, which are indications the injury isn’t too serious. Dawkins held a press conference today and never mentioned a new problem with his hand. He broke his hand in training camp and it would be surprising if he missed Sunday’s game.
Larsen will be out at least a few weeks, according to coach Josh McDaniels. Smith tried returning to practice today, wearing an orange non-contact jersey, but dropped out and returned to the locker room before the media’s short access period was finished.
Safety Josh Barrett (shoulder) was a limited participant, as was guard Chris Kuper (ankle). Kuper missed a start on Sunday because of the high ankle sprain, suffered in the third preseason game.
Receiver Jabar Gaffney (finger), running back Knowshon Moreno (knee) and quarterback Kyle Orton (finger) all were listed but were full participants in practice.
