Mariucci calls Mike Nolan coordinator of the year

The NFL Network forwarded a quote from their coaches show that includes former 49ers and Lions coach Steve Mariucci. Mariucci said Broncos defensive coordinator Mike Nolan is the top coordinator in the NFL in the first half of the season, and didn’t think it was close.

“This is a slam-dunk,” Mariucci said. “How about Mike Nolan? He brings that 3-4 defense that is leading every (defensive) category you can think of. Mike Nolan has done a great job.”
